Pickled Onions

Ingredients:
Red Onions
Water – Distilled White Vinegar 50:50 Ratio
¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons salt
Black Peppercorns
Optional add ins: Garlic, Herbs
Steps
Thinly slice onions and fill a mason jar. Add in any optional items you prefer.
In a small pot heat the vinegar, water, sugar, and salt over medium heat until simmering.
Carefully pour the vinegar mixture over the onions, attach the lid, and shake to combine.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes, enjoy immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
